This repository is designed to store and share the data associated with the paper titled "Evidence from gene family evolution supports a role for gene novelty in the dietary adaptations of Lepidoptera". In this study, we annotate the genomes of 62 lepidopteran species using the variable Braker annotation pipeline and conduct orthology analyses. This repository contains the annotation results for each species (Braker3 Augustus models including aa and gff3 files and EggNOG mapper functional annotations), as well as the orthogroups (Phylogenetic Hierarchical Orthogroups, HOGs) defined through Orthofinder.
