The data were collected from experimental freshwater mesocosms allocated to four treatments according to the presence or absence of fish and introduced-macrophytes. The treatment F corresponded to mesocosms in which only fish were stocked, in the treatment M, only macrophytes were introduced, in the the treatment FM, fish and macrophytes were stocked and in the treatment C no fish neither macrophytes were introduced. The dataset presented is composed of data on: 1. Individual fish parameters (live weight, length at fork, Fulton’s condition factor (K)), at stocking and harvest for the three species reared: black bass (Micropterus salmoides), common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and roach (Rutilus rutilus) within each mesocosm from F and FM treatments. 2. Macrophytes parameters (total net weight, dry matter, total dry weight) for each species within each mesocosm, at stocking and harvesting. 3. Physical indicators of the water quality in mesocosms, weekly measured: temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, oxygen saturation, conductivity and water transparency. 4. Concentration in chemical compounds of water, monthly sampled: total nitrogen (TN), ammonia-nitrogen (NH4-N), nitrite-nitrogen (NO2--N), nitrate-nitrogen (NO3--N), total phosphorus(TP) and phosphate-phosphorus (PO4-P). 5. Concentration of chlorophyll in mesocosm water, monthly sampled: total chlorophyll, blue chlorophyll, brown chlorophyll and green chlorophyll. 6. Feed delivered to fish (Quantity, nitrogen and phosphorus composition) in each mesocosm. 7. Fish composition (Total biomass, dry matter, concentrations in nitrogen and phosphorus) within each species and each mesocosm, at stocking and harvesting. 8. Macrophytes composition (Total biomass, dry matter, concentrations in nitrogen and phosphorus) within each species and each mesocosm at stocking and harvesting. 9. Nutrients contained in water (volume, concentrations in nitrogen and phosphorus, total amount of nitrogen and phosphorus) within each mesocosm, at input and output. 10. Nutrients contained in sediment (Total weight, concentrations in nitrogen and phosphorus, total amount of nitrogen and phosphorus) within each mesocosm, at input and output. 11. stable isotopes composition of feed in d13C and d15N (concentrations in d13C and d15N, percentage of carbon, percentage of nitrogen and carbon-nitrogen ratio). 12. stable isotopes composition of fish in d13C and d15N (concentrations in d13C and d15N, percentage of carbon, percentage of nitrogen and carbon-nitrogen ratio) within each species and each mesocosm, at harvesting. 13. stable isotopes composition of macrophytes in d13C and d15N (concentrations in d13C and d15N, percentage of carbon, percentage of nitrogen and carbon-nitrogen ratio) within each species and each mesocosm, at harvesting. 14. stable isotopes composition of sediment in d13C and d15N (concentrations in d13C and d15N, percentage of carbon, percentage of nitrogen and carbon-nitrogen ratio) within each mesocosm, at harvesting. 15. stable isotopes composition of invertebrates in d13C and d15N (concentrations in d13C and d15N, percentage of carbon, percentage of nitrogen and carbon-nitrogen ratio) within each organism and each mesocosm, at harvesting.
