National Surveillance Antimicrobial Consumption in Belgian Hospitals

In the context of fastly new emerging drug-resistances, the Belgian government is financing several initiatives in order to promote the rational use of antimicrobials, in the community as well as in the hospital sector. The surveillance BeH-SAC (formerly known as ABUH) is one of these initiatives and aims at providing the multidisciplinary hospital Antibiotherapy Management Teams with figures and trends on antimicrobial use inside their own hospital. The surveillance enables also the elaboration of national trends.

在新型耐药性快速涌现的背景下，比利时政府正资助多项举措，以推动社区与医院领域抗菌药物（antimicrobials）的合理使用。抗菌药物使用监测系统BeH-SAC（前身为ABUH）即为其中之一，其旨在为各医院自身的多学科抗菌药物管理团队提供本院抗菌药物使用的相关数据与趋势信息。该监测系统还可助力构建全国性的抗菌药物使用趋势。
