Establishment of commercial taxol-production-tech by culturing Taiwan yew cells in bioreactors (2/3) - Transgenic cell culture The company cooperated with Taiwan Forestry Research Institute has been decide to produce taxol by bioreactors in Taiwan. To establish the scale up system between lab and commercial production of taxol is very important. This project tries to moitor factors that increase culture volume from 5-L to 20-L and 100-L bioreactor. This pilot study will be decrease the risk of commercial scale might met. Cell cultured in a 5-L bioreactor created by cooperated company worked well. The 20-L bioreactor was designed and produced by the company. The another important work in this project is to try the transgenic cells transformed with auxin, TS, and DBAT genes in suspension cultures to evaluate these cell lines with the better performance than normal cell cultures.

通过生物反应器(bioreactor)培养台湾红豆杉(Taiwan yew)细胞建立商业化紫杉醇(Taxol)生产技术(2/3)——转基因细胞培养(transgenic cell culture) 本公司与台湾林业试验所(Taiwan Forestry Research Institute)达成合作,计划于台湾地区采用生物反应器规模化生产紫杉醇。建立从实验室规模到商业化生产的紫杉醇放大培养体系至关重要。本项目旨在监测细胞培养规模从5升生物反应器扩大至20升、100升生物反应器过程中的各项影响参数,以规避商业化规模化生产可能面临的各类风险。合作方研发的5升生物反应器细胞培养体系运行效果良好;20升生物反应器由该公司自主设计并制造。本项目另一项核心工作为:针对经生长素(auxin)、TS基因及DBAT基因转化的悬浮培养细胞开展实验,以筛选出性能优于常规细胞培养体系的工程细胞株。
