CSIRO Atlas of Regional Seas (CARS) 2006 Bottom Water Silicate Data Standard Deviation

CARS2006 spans the southern 2/3 of the worlds oceans, from 70S to 26N, except in the Atlantic where is reaches only to10N. The six water properties mapped in are temperature (deg C), salinity (PSU), oxygen (ml/litre), nitrate (micromole/litre), silicate (micromole/litre), phosphate (micromole/litre). It comprises historic mean fields and average seasonal cycles, derived from all available historical subsurface ocean property measurements (primarily research vessel instrument casts and autonomous profiling buoys). The standard deviation for the silicate data is used to show the spatial and temporal variation of silicate in the bottom water utilising all of the historical data for each day of the year. This dataset is a contribution to the CERF Marine Biodiversity Hub.

CARS2006数据集覆盖全球海洋南部三分之二海域，空间范围为南纬70°至北纬26°，仅大西洋海域除外，其北界仅延伸至北纬10°。本次制图涵盖的六大海洋水文要素分别为：温度（单位：摄氏度，℃）、盐度（实用盐度单位，PSU）、溶解氧（毫升/升）、硝酸盐（微摩尔/升）、硅酸盐（微摩尔/升）与磷酸盐（微摩尔/升）。该数据集包含历史平均场与平均季节循环序列，数据源自所有可获取的历史海洋次表层要素观测资料，主要包括研究船仪器剖面测量数据与自主剖面浮标观测数据。针对硅酸盐数据集，本研究利用全年每日的全部历史观测资料，以其标准差表征底层水体中硅酸盐的时空分布特征。本数据集为CERF海洋生物多样性枢纽（CERF Marine Biodiversity Hub）的贡献成果。
