Small RNA sequencing of Aedes aegypti Aag2 cells following RNA oxidation with NaIO4

Small RNA sequencing from Aedes aegypti Aag2 cell line after RNA oxidation by sodium periodate (NaIO4). Non oxidized control library was prepared using same protocol without NaIO4. 3' adaptor sequence: AGATCGGAAGAGCACACGTCT.Libraries were prepared using the kit NEBNext® Multiplex Small RNA Library Prep Set for Illumina® following the recommended protocol but using a modified 3' adaptor. This modification leads to the addition of 6 additional nucleotides at the 5' end of each read that should be removed after 3' adapter trimming.
