4-Pentenoic acid, a newly discovered acidic inhibitor from the nettle silage system, exhibits the property of selective regulation and is expected to address the bottleneck problem of Clostridial fermentation during the preparation of alfalfa silage. This project takes different dosages of 4-pentenoic acid as the starting point to investigate its effects on the composition of bacterial communities.
