Heavy metal pollution can seriously damage the stability of the cultivated soil microbial system and hinder crop growth and development. The farmland soil polluted by lead and cadmium can be remediated using silicon fertilizer. However, the effects on soil microbial community structure and crop growth and development during the remediation process are not clear.
