Anatomical organization of the cerebrum of the praying mantis <i>Hierodula membranacea</i>

We provide additional material for our publication entitled 'Anatomical organization of the cerebrum of the praying mantis Hierodula membranacea'. This lablefield dataset presents a three-dimensional reconstruction of the central brain of the Asian mantis, Hierodula membranacea. In total, we reconstructed 42 neuropils, some with further subdivisions. The reconstruction is based on a synapsin immunolabeled wholemount brain preparation. Scans can be accessed using software AMIRA 6.5.
