资源简介:
Here is a dataset of a study named "Substrate availability and thermal adaptation constrain the temperature effects on marine bacterioplankton communities in subtropical coastal waters". It includes three data files: bacterial abundance, bacterial growth rate, and bacterial results.
This study is designed to investigate the thermal response of marine bacteria. The experiments were conducted at two contrasting subtropical coastal sites (i.e., Sta. EO and Sta. WE) over a 1-year period. In each experiment, natural bacterial communities (1 μm filtrate) were diluted by particle-free seawater (0.22 μm filtrate) and incubated for about 48h. Bacterial abundance was measured by Flow Cytometry every 4-6 h to obtain complete growth curves and estimate the growth rate. Such experiments were conducted at 7 temperatures, and the thermal traits of bacterial communities (i.e., temperature sensitivity and optimal growth temperature) were estimated using the MTE framework. Therefore, bacterial_abundance.csv contains all data on bacterial abundance, and bacterial_growth_rate.csv contains data on bacterial growth at designated temperatures. bacterial_results.csv is the summary of results for this study, including environmental parameters and experimental outputs (e.g., growth rate, temperature sensitivity).
