Limits of public institutions for inter-communal cooperation (EPCI).

Public institutions for inter-municipal cooperation (EPCI) are groupings of municipalities whose purpose is to draw up “common development projects within solidarity zones”. They are subject to common rules which are homogeneous and comparable to those of local authorities. Urban communities, agglomeration communities, communities of municipalities, new agglomeration unions, communal unions and joint unions are EPCIs.
