Users can download tables, graphs and figures pertaining to occupation-related respiratory diseases. BackgroundThe Work-Related Lung Disease (WoRLD) Surveillance System is operated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and maintained by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). WoRLD provides data for occupation-related respiratory disease surveillance data. Examples of disease surveillance data include pneumoconioses, occupational asthma, and other respiratory conditions. User FunctionalityUsers can download tables, gr aphs, figures and past versions of the Work-Related Lung Disease Surveillance Report as PDFs. Users can also download the dataset into SAS statistical software. Data NotesMost data pertains to exposures and respiratory diseases on a national level. Figures and graphs indicate when data applies to the state level. Data are derived from multiple sources including: the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and the United States Bureau of Census (BOC). Years data were collected and dates when indicators were updated vary according to indicator. Dates are documented with the indicator. Data are available on national and state levels. The most recent data is available from 2009.
