Central Lake_2026 pollen

This repository contains an R-based workflow for quantitative pollen analysis and vegetation reconstruction from lacustrine sediment records. The workflow integrates stratigraphically constrained cluster analysis (CONISS), Principal Curve analysis, arboreal/non-arboreal pollen indices, and ecological vegetation-affinity indices to reconstruct changes in vegetation composition, landscape openness, and ecosystem dynamics through time. Developed for a ~17 ka pollen record from Central Lake in the Bale Mountains (Ethiopian Highlands), the workflow provides reproducible scripts for pollen assemblage analysis and paleovegetation reconstruction.
