In this study, three enrichment microbial consortia were developed for lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment or bioaugmentation as alternative to enhance biogas or bioethanol production. The efficient microorganism technology and microorganisms isolated from different soils samples were used. The microbial community diversity was analyzed by a metagenomic technique, and its allowed infer what species were present and doing what, in terms of the metabolic pathway.
