资源简介:
This dataset forms part of a qualitative, interpretivist case study examining the role of knowledge products in leveraging collective knowledge within a public organisation. The study is grounded in knowledge management (KM), which focuses on the systematic creation, sharing, and utilisation of knowledge to improve organisational performance and service delivery in the public sector. The dataset consists of two data sources:Document Analysis:
A total of 134 publicly available knowledge products accessed from the Knowledge Hub were analysed. These documents include reports, guidelines, case studies, toolkits, and learning materials developed to support municipalities. The purpose of this analysis was to understand the nature, scope, and effectiveness of existing knowledge products in facilitating knowledge sharing and supporting local government.Semi-Structured Interviews:
Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 14 SALGA officials involved in developing and disseminating knowledge products. Participants included senior managers, advisors, subject matter experts, coordinators, and administrators. Interviews were conducted to explore knowledge needs in local government, the effectiveness of knowledge products, and enabling systems and strategies for improving knowledge sharing.
