OBSERVA Portal: Academics' Pedagogical Development through Storytelling and Digital Curation

The OBSERVA Portal is a platform designed to promote professional development for academics in higher education through the sharing of teaching practices. This study explores the intersection of digital storytelling and digital curation in supporting professional development among Brazilian academics using the Portal. Grounded in a framework that combines professional development, storytelling, and curation, this qualitative study involved twelve academics who participated in a structured curation process. The participants engaged in interviews, a live session streamed on YouTube, and collaborative work with the research team to curate and finalise content for publication. A follow-up interview was conducted to capture their reflections. The findings reveal that participation in the Portal encouraged reflection, collaboration, and recognition among academics, positioning them as co-authors of pedagogical knowledge and fostering a more engaged professional community.OBSERVA门户（OBSERVA Portal）是一款面向高等教育学者的平台，旨在通过推动教学实践共享，促进其专业发展。本研究借助该门户，探究数字叙事（digital storytelling）与数字整理（digital curation）在助力巴西高校学者专业发展中的交叉应用场景。 本研究以融合专业发展、叙事与整理理论的分析框架为基础，属于质性研究范畴，共招募12名学者参与结构化整理流程。参与者先后接受访谈、参与在YouTube上直播的线上交流环节，并与研究团队协作完成用于公开发布的内容整理与定稿工作。后续还开展了追踪访谈，以收集参与者的反思反馈。研究结果显示，参与该门户项目可推动学者开展自我反思、强化协作并获得专业认可，使其成为教育学知识的共同创作者，同时助力构建更具参与度的专业学术共同体。
