Homozygous gene targeting replacement mouse lines, one expressing the human apolipoproteinA-I (A-I k-in) and the other the natural variant apolipoproteinA-IMilano (A-IM k-in), have been used for the present study We used microarray to investigate intrinsic differences in the hepatic gene expression of mice expressing human apoA-I or A-IM, The livers were harvested from the two mouse lines for RNA extraction and Hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays.
