Merchandise Imports ($ Thousand)

Australia's international merchandise trade statistics record goods which add to or subtract from the stock of material resources of Australia by entering (imports) or leaving (exports) its territory. Goods simply transported through Australia (goods in transit), or temporarily admitted or withdrawn, do not add to or subtract from Australia's stock of material resources and are not included in Australia's international merchandise trade statistics.\r\n\r\n

澳大利亚国际商品贸易统计数据，记录的是通过进入（进口，imports）澳大利亚领土以增加该国物质资源存量，或通过离开（出口，exports）澳大利亚领土以减少该国物质资源存量的商品。

仅途经澳大利亚转运的商品（过境商品，goods in transit），或临时入境、临时出境的商品，均不会对澳大利亚的物质资源存量产生增减影响，因此不纳入澳大利亚国际商品贸易统计范畴。
