Effects of food deprivation on plasma insulin-like growth factor-1 (Igf1) and Igf binding protein (Igfbp) gene transcription in juvenile cabezon (Scorpaenichthys marmoratus)

The goal of this study was to examine the effects of fasting (food deprivation) stress on somatotropic endocrine axis regulation in juvenile cabezon. We used Illumina RNAseq to identify cDNAs involved in somatotropic axis hormone signaling in the liver of a single, juvenile cabezon.
