16S rRNA Metagenomic Sequencing of Surface Water Samples from Caloosahatchee River and Estuary Sites CES01SUR, CES06SUR, and CES10SUR

Initial survey of prokaryotic diversity in Caloosahatchee River and Estuary from highly monitored Caloosahatchee River and Estuary sites. Surface water samples were collected by Lee County Environmental Lab in Fort Myers, Florida. Genomic DNA from individual samples was extracted from filtered samples in the lab and sent to the University of Hawaii Advanced Studies in Genomics, Proteomics, and Bioinformatics for library preparation and metagenomic sequencing using Illumina MiSeq platform.
