资源简介:
Drift_data descriptionData were collected from previously published studies and combined with data from the WorldClim (ver 2.1) database (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html). The aim of the project was to identify the range and magnitude of invertebrate drift abundance across a large spatial scale and examine how drift varied across environmental gradients. Drift data are from papers that reported daytime invertebrate drift abundance (standardized to number ∙ m-3) from natural streams and the net mesh size used to collect samples (drift_data.csv).Variables and unitsStudy: Citation for study that invertebrate drift data was collected from.Year: Year study was publishedLocation: Stream name and state or country abbreviation. Used to ensure data were unique when added to the database.Country: Country where samples were collected.Continent: Continent where samples were collected.drift_density: Number of invertebrates per cubic meter of water reported in the study.Mesh_size: The size of the net mesh on the drift sampler in micrometers.Latitude: Reported or estimated latitude of sampling locations in Degrees.Longitude: Reported or estimated latitude of sampling locations in Degrees.AnnualMeanTemp: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).MeanDiurnalRange: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).TempAnnualRange: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).AnnualPrecip: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).PrecipWettestQ: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).PrecipDriestQ: Data can be found using Latitude and Longitude data at: (https://www.worldclim.org/data/worldclim21.html).Elevation: Reported or estimated (using GIS) elevation of sampling locations in meters.foraging _rate_data descriptionDrift-feeding rates and drift abundance were examined to see how fish foraging rates changed across different levels of food abundance. Foraging rate data from papers that reported daytime drift densities in units of number of invertebrates per cubic meter of water (number ∙ m-3) and day-time drift foraging rate observations in units of captures or attempts per unit time (captures ∙ min-1 or attempts ∙ min-1) (foraging_rate_data.csv).Variables and unitsstudy: Citation for study that data was collected fromdate: Publication year of the study.species: genus and species name of fishforage_min: Drift foraging rate in attempts per minutedrift_dens: invertebrate drift abundance in individuals per cubic meter of water* *n: Number of observationssort: sorting variableCode/softwareAll analyses were completed using R statistical software. For the drift dataset, the lme and MuMIn packages were used, and dplyr, tidyr, and nls2 packages were used. The model_selection code uses lme to create mixed effects models to examine how invertebrate drift density varies across multiple environmental variables. The 'dredge' function from the MuMIn package creates all possible models and ranks them based on AICc.The foraging_limits code uses dplyr and tidyr for data manipulation and the nls2 package to create non-linear regression models of drift foraging rate as a function of drift density.
