CoastTerm

CoastTerm is a dataset focused on multidisciplinary terminology extraction from coastal scientific literature, created by the University of La Rochelle. It contains 215 scientific abstracts, totaling 2,491 sentences, and is designed for automatic terminology extraction and classification tasks. The creation process of the CoastTerm dataset includes manual annotation and the employment of the ARDI framework for term and role extraction. The application fields of CoastTerm include environmental policy formulation and scientific understanding of coastal systems, with the objective of constructing a knowledge base from a multidisciplinary perspective to address the challenges of understanding complex coastal systems.
