Planktonic Production Cycles and their Relationship with Fishing Resources on the Portuguese Coast

The “Ciclos de Produção Planctónica e Sua Relação com os Recursos Pesqueiros” project aims to describe the dynamics of planktonic communities associated with the coastal upwelling system in Portugal. This description is important for understanding the bio-oceanographic processes that condition posture, growth and survival in pre-recruitment phases, as well as patterns of abundance, distribution and migration of fishery resources, in particular small pelagic species. In addition to this goal, project also aims to determine the areas, seasons and the laying intensity of these species.

"浮游生物生产循环及其与渔业资源的关系"（Ciclos de Produção Planctónica e Sua Relação com os Recursos Pesqueiros）项目旨在刻画葡萄牙沿岸上升流系统相关的浮游生物群落动态。该研究工作对于解析调控渔业资源补充前期阶段个体的存活、生长与存续状况的生物海洋学过程，以及渔业资源（尤其是小型中上层鱼类）的丰度、分布与洄游模式具有重要意义。除此目标外，本项目还旨在明确这些鱼类的产卵场、产卵季节与产卵强度。
