Gene database of Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus

This work presents the gene database of Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus. Using annotated genome sequence downloaded from Genbank, an in-house MATLAB genome analysis software parsed the contents into a gene database comprising gene name, gene function, and gene sequence. Overall, the presented gene database of SARS is fundamental to initiating studies in understanding the origins and pathogenic potential of this virus.

本研究构建了严重急性呼吸综合征（Severe acute respiratory syndrome, SARS）病毒基因数据库。研究人员从GenBank下载注释基因组序列，借助自研的MATLAB基因组分析软件对序列内容进行解析，最终得到涵盖基因名称、基因功能与基因序列的基因数据库。总体而言，本次构建的SARS病毒基因数据库，可为开展该病毒起源及致病潜力相关研究提供核心基础。
