For the heterozygous excess, TPM and SMM correspond to two-phase mutation model and single-step mutation model respectively. For the M-ratio method, ps stands for the proportion of sing-step mutations, MC for the critical M for a given theta where θ = 1 represents the initial (pre-decline) Ne of 500 and θ = 10 an Ne of 5000. M-ratio values that fall below the MC value are considered statistically significant at α = 0.05.
