Abundance and biomass of macrobenthos in the Black Sea during Mare Nigrum cruise S-RO1

Dataset containing macrobenthos data for samples collected during April 2008 in the North-West Black Sea (between 44°46' - 43°45' N latitude and 30° 11' - 29°35' E longitude). Macrobenthos sampling was done in 4 stations using a 0.14 m**2 Van Veen grab.
Washing of the sample through two sieves - 1 mm and 0.25 mm mesh size; the material retained by the two sieves was examined at the binocular microscope; all animals were extracted, using fine tweezers and the species or group of species were identified and counted (in order to determine the density of populations); the larger organisms were measured and weighed (structure and biomass); for smaller organisms, the average wet weights inscribed in standard tables were used to calculate the biomass. Taxonomic identification was done at the GeoEcoMar by A. Teaca and T. Begun using the relevant taxonomic literature (Key-book for the identification of the Black Sea and Sea of Azov Fauna, 1968 -1972, Kiev - in Russian, V 1-4; BACESCU, M.C., MÜLLER, G. 本数据集包含2008年4月在黑海西北部（北纬44°46′至43°45′，东经30°11′至29°35′）采集的大型底栖生物（macrobenthos）样本数据。本次大型底栖生物采样共设置4个站位，采用面积为0.14 m²的范·维恩采泥器（Van Veen grab）完成采样。
将采集的样品通过孔径分别为1毫米和0.25毫米的两层筛网冲洗；留存于两层筛网上的样品置于双目显微镜下进行检视，使用精细镊子挑取所有动物个体，对物种或物种类群进行鉴定并计数（以确定种群密度）；对体型较大的生物进行体长测量与体重称量，获取其形态结构与生物量数据；对于小型生物，则采用标准表格中记载的平均湿重计算其生物量。分类鉴定工作由A. Teaca与T. Begun在GeoEcoMar完成，所依据的相关分类学文献包括：《黑海与亚速海动物鉴定手册》（1968-1972年，基辅，俄语版，共1-4卷）；BACESCU M.C.、MÜLLER G.I.、GOMOIU M.-T.于1971年发表的文献，以及BACESCU M.C.、MÜLLER G.I.、GOMOIU M.-T.1971年的《黑海底栖生态学研究：本都底栖动物群的比较定性与定量分析》，刊载于《Marine Ecology》第4卷，页码1-357（罗马尼亚语版）。
