EBV usually establishes latent infection in immunocompetent populations; In immunocompromised individuals, this may cause uncontrolled proliferation of B lymphocytes. In previous studies, we described the susceptibility of tree shrews with robust immune systems to EBV. In this study, immunosuppression of tree shrews using cyclosporine A to explore the transcriptome characteristics of spleen in tree shrews infected with EBV.
