Mannheimia haemolytica from non-diseased calves

Mannheimia haemolytica is commonly found associated with severe respiratory illness in cattle, a disease that costs up to a billion dollars per year in total losses to the beef cattle industry. This bacteria is also found in the upper respiratory system of non-diseased animals, and the overall project is to determine if any correlation exists between genomic features of M. haemolytica strains and their passive or pathogenic existence.
