Shape memory polymers and their composites as a class of promising smart materials have been widely applied in aerospace engineering, soft robotics and healthcare fields. Mechanical properties of composites based on shape memory polymers however are sensitive to temperature and loading methods. The data paper presents the dynamic properties of carbon fibre reinforced shape memory polymer composite under various thermal total and local fields. The thermal fields were provided by attached electrothermal film and tested by the thermal imaging camera. The initial velocity was loaded by knocking vibration excitation and the response velocity was measured by Laser Doppler Velocimetry. The raw datasets obtained could support further study in the area and development of carbon fibre reinforced shape memory polymer composites.
形状记忆聚合物及其复合材料(Shape memory polymers and their composites)作为一类极具应用前景的智能材料,已在航空航天工程、软体机器人及医疗健康领域得到广泛应用。然而,以形状记忆聚合物为基体的复合材料的力学性能对温度与加载方式较为敏感。本数据论文展示了碳纤维增强形状记忆聚合物复合材料(carbon fibre reinforced shape memory polymer composite)在各类整体与局部热场环境下的动态力学性能。该热场通过附着式电热膜(electrothermal film)提供,并通过热成像相机(thermal imaging camera)进行监测。本研究通过敲击激振施加初始速度激励,并采用激光多普勒测速术(Laser Doppler Velocimetry)对响应速度进行测量。所获取的原始数据集可支撑碳纤维增强形状记忆聚合物复合材料领域的后续研究与开发。
