A mid 15th Century example of a Type XVIIIa blade with
distinct mid rib and squared shoulders. The pommel is of a unique form: a type of wheel pommel with no similar surviving example as yet identified.
This piece is thought to be of Italian make, and is said to have come from a tomb opened in the late 19th C, possibly in France. It was accompanied by a small rondel dagger and both are in very good condition.

该藏品为15世纪中叶的XVIIIa型剑身（Type XVIIIa blade），带有清晰的中脊与方形肩刃。其剑柄首（pommel）造型独特，属于一类迄今尚未发现同类存世实物的轮状剑柄首。据推断该兵器为意大利手工打造，据传出土于19世纪末开启的一处墓葬，地点大概率位于法国。随葬有一柄小型圆头短剑（rondel dagger），二者保存状态均十分完好。
