Dataset related to article: SOCIAL COGNITION ABILITIES IN PATIENTS WITH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CHRONIC PAIN

The database contains clinical and neuropsychological variables of a cohort of 81 patients with chronic pain, specifically 38 with chronic primary pain and 43 with chronic secondary pain, and 41 healthy controls.  It contains scores of the following cognitive tests: Ekman-60F test, Story-Based empathy task, Montreal Cognitive Assessment, and data concerning pain intensity, illness duration, mood, behavioural assessment (coiping strategies, quality of life, avoidance behavior and alexithymia). The databases contains also patients' classification in primary and secondary chronic pain condition according to the IASP and ICD-11 criteria (Nicholas et al., 2019).
