Data for paper "Within-season movements of Alpine songbird distributions are driven by fine-scale environmental characteristics", Scientific Reports

This database includes the data used in paper “Within-season movements of Alpine songbird distributions are driven by fine-scale environmental characteristics” published in Scientific Reports (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-020-62661-0). These data were previously available upon reasonable request as stated in the paper; they are now publicly available to facilitate access, consultation, and reuse. In this study, we investigated the within-season movements of breeding songbirds in the European Alps in spring-summer 2018, using repeated point counts and dynamic occupancy models. For each sampling point, we recorded detailed vegetation/land cover variables in the field with the aid of aerial orthophotographs, and we obtained local temperatures using iButtons.
