Fragments of the Marble Grave Monument of Elpines and Eunikos

Decorated with rosettes on the front and side, this stele was once crowned with an akroterion similar to the two displayed nearby. It commemorated two brothers from the deme (politician district) of Probalinthos, which was located near the plain of Marathon.该石碑（stele）正面与侧面均饰有玫瑰花饰，其顶部原带有一件与附近展出的两件形制一致的三角墙顶饰（akroterion）。该石碑纪念的是来自普洛巴林托斯德谟（deme，古希腊基层政治区）的两兄弟，普洛巴林托斯地处马拉松平原附近。
