The file "1_Vulnerability_Index.xlsx" contains vulnerability indices for the analyzed crops. The file consists of four spreadsheets: 1_Vuln_TypeofAgriculture: Vulnerability index by type of agriculture (rainfed or irrigated). 2_Vuln_RendAnom: Vulnerability index based on anomalies in agricultural yield during years classified as experiencing extreme drought between 1990 and 2023. 3_Vuln_IndexGeneral: General index, which is the average of the vulnerability index by type of agriculture and the vulnerability index based on anomalies in agricultural yield during years classified as experiencing extreme drought between 1990 and 2023. 4_VulnIndexGen_AppliedToProd: This sheet contains the general vulnerability index applied to the average annual production of selected native crops for the period 1990–2023. The average annual production is expressed in tons. The file "2_TypicalDishes_List.xlsx" includes a list of typical dishes from Mexican gastronomy. Each of the sheets in the file contains an "ID", the "Origin/Region" of the dishes, the "Type of dish" (salty, sweet and drink), the dish name ("Dish"), as well as the 48 selected native crops. Additionally, the typical dishes are associated with the native crops, where values of 1 indicate the use of the analyzed crops as ingredients in the preparation of the dishes, while a value of 0 indicates their non-use. The file have 4 sheet: the first sheet contains the general list of typical dishes from Mexican gastronomy, obtained from the review of the works by Saizar et al. (2010) and OCEANO (1999); in the second sheet, column BA indicates how many of the 48 analyzed native crops are used as ingredients in the preparation of each dish; In the third sheet, based on the number of native crops used as ingredients (column BA), only those dishes that use more than one crop in their preparation are enlisted. Additionally, the names were homogenized; the fourth sheet sheet contains a pivot table where, through the "Type of dish" filter, the dishes of each category are listed, along with the number of times in wich was named. In addition, there is a table with the number of dishes per type of dish. The file "3_VulnerabilityTypicalDishes.xlsx" includes a list of typical dishes from Mexican cuisine, classified according to their degree of vulnerability. The file consists of five sheets. The first sheet contains the general list of typical dishes from Mexican cuisine, where, according to the degree of vulnerability of the crops used as ingredients in their preparation, they are associated with one of the four vulnerability levels: - Very High (red)- High (orange)- Medium (yellow)- Low (green) The degree of vulnerability is assigned by prioritizing the highest degree of vulnerability, in order to avoid duplicate dishes. For example, if a dish uses two ingredients, one with very high vulnerability and the other with low vulnerability, it will automatically be included in the list of dishes with very high vulnerability and will not be assigned to the list of dishes with low vulnerability. Sheets 2 to 5 list the dishes according to their degree of vulnerability, along with a pivot table showing the number of repetitions of each dish, as well as the total number of dishes in each degree of vulnerability. Sheet 2 contains the dishes with very high vulnerability; Sheet 3 contains the dishes with high vulnerability; Sheet 4 contains the dishes with medium vulnerability; and finally, Sheet 5 contains the dishes with low vulnerability. The file "4_CropsPerState.docx" contains a table with the list of selected native crops produced in each state of the Mexican Republic.
