The Microwave Humidity Sounder (MHS) is a 5 channel instrument used to provide input to the retrieval of surface temperatures, emissivities, and atmospheric humidity. In combination with AMSU-A information it can also be used to process precipitation rates and related cloud properties, as well as to detect sea ice and snow coverage.微波湿度探测器（Microwave Humidity Sounder, MHS）是一款5通道探测仪器，可为地表温度、发射率及大气湿度的遥感反演提供输入数据。结合AMSU-A的探测信息，该仪器不仅可用于反演降水率与相关云特性，还能够探测海冰与积雪覆盖范围。
