Genomic surveillance of Plasmodium falciparum using targeted sequencing of resistance loci in the Brazilian Amazon/Guiana Shield

This project comprises raw sequencing reads from multiple Plasmodium falciparum isolates collected in the Brazilian Amazon between 2016 and 2020. The main objective is to perform targeted deep sequencing of antimalarial resistance loci, including pfcrt, pfmdr1, pfpm2/3, and pfk13, in order to investigate genetic variation and molecular markers associated with resistance to chloroquine, piperaquine, and artemisinin-based combination therapies
