Comparison Plant communities Paris 1884-2021

The data presents the changes that occurred in Paris plant communities at a 136-year interval, thanks to the existence of an inventory published in 1884 in a book entitled “Essay on the flora of the Paris pavement limited to outer boulevards, or Catalog of plants that grow spontaneously in streets and on wharves” (Vallot 1884), by a well-known French botanist Joseph Vallot. In 2021, we followed on his footsteps, using the same inventory protocol at exactly the same places : 35 streets, 15 quays and 2 squares in Paris (France). We focused on the spontaneous flora and excluded cultivated/ornamental vegetation. The habitats sampled all belonged to the micro-structures that support vegetation i.e., cracks in asphalt, the base of alignment trees, the feet of walls, the spaces between paving stones… The data gives the list of the species, their ecological characteristics, and the name of the places where the inventories were performed.本数据集记录了巴黎植物群落在136年时间跨度下的群落变化，其数据基础来自法国知名植物学家约瑟夫·瓦洛（Joseph Vallot）于1884年出版的专著——《仅限巴黎外环路人行道植物志，或街道与码头自生植物名录》（"Essay on the flora of the Paris pavement limited to outer boulevards, or Catalog of plants that grow spontaneously in streets and on wharves"，Vallot 1884）。2021年，我们沿用该调查规程，在完全一致的样点开展了重复调查，覆盖法国巴黎的35条街道、15处码头与2座广场。本次研究聚焦于自生植物区系，排除了栽培/观赏植被。本次调查的生境均为支撑植被生长的微结构，例如沥青路面裂缝、行道树基部、墙体根部、石板缝隙等。本数据集包含物种名录、物种的生态特征，以及两次调查的样点名称。
