CrIS Level 1 - Multimission - Regional

The Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS), a Fourier transform spectrometer with 2211 spectral channels, produces high-resolution, three-dimensional temperature, pressure, and moisture profiles. These profiles are used to enhance weather forecasting models, and to facilitate both short- and long-term weather forecasting. Over longer timescales, they will help improve understanding of climate phenomena such as El Niño and La Niña. A subset of 431 spectral channels only are included in order to reduce data volume. EUMETSAT Advanced Retransmission Service (EARS) provides instrument data from the Suomi NPP and NOAA-20 satellites collected via a network of Direct Readout stations.跨轨红外探测仪（Cross-track Infrared Sounder, CrIS）是一款搭载2211个光谱通道的傅里叶变换光谱仪，可生成高分辨率的三维温度、气压与湿度廓线。此类廓线可用于优化天气预报数值模式，辅助开展短期及长期天气预报工作。在更长的时间尺度下，它们还能助力加深对厄尔尼诺、拉尼娜等气候现象的科学认知。为降低数据体量，本数据集仅保留了431个光谱通道的子集数据。欧洲气象卫星组织高级转发服务（EUMETSAT Advanced Retransmission Service, EARS）提供了通过直接读出站网络采集的苏奥米NPP（Suomi NPP）与NOAA-20卫星的仪器观测数据。
