Gene expression profiles of primary cultured cells isolated from Japanese eel skeletal muscle tissue.. Anguilla japonica

Primary cultured cells were isolated from the skeletal muscle tissue of juvenile Japanese eel to develop cultured eel meat. In the early passages, genes specific to myocytes and adipocytes were highly expressed, but the expression levels of such genes decreased with each successive passaging.
