Metagenomes of mice microbiota experiencing different nutritional inputs. Mice-Diet-Microbiota Interactions
收藏资源简介:
The mammalian gastrointestinal tract is a complex ecosystem that harbors trillions of microorganisms known as the gut microbiota. Besides interacting with each other, these microorganisms live closely associated with their host, where they are involved in multiple fundamental processes. Since the microbial-host interaction network maintains host homeostasis, alterations in the microbiota composition that lead to functional impairments can have detrimental consequences. In this context, diet is one of the main external microbiota-disturbing causes affecting the homeostatic state of the host. In this study, we are analyzing the gut microbiota metagenomes of mice receiving different nutritional inputs as an approach to explore the differential functional capacity of these communities.
