Sodium new houttuyfonate (SNH) derived from Houttuynia cordata Thunb. (HCT), which is a famous edible and medicinal plant widely distributed in China. Several reports suggest that SNH has anticancer properties. At present, the role of SNH in pancreatic cancer remains unclear. The potential signaling pathways regulated by SNH were analyzed by combined RNA-seq of cells and tumor tissues. SNH reduced the expression of FGF1 and inactivated the p38/MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase) pathway, thereby reducing tumor angiogenesis.
