Supporting Covariates for Port-Area Cargo-Flow Network Analysis in the Pearl River Basin (2020–2024)

This dataset provides supporting covariates and reference information for the study “Port system evolution in the Pearl River Basin: Evidence from inter-port-area cargo-flow networks.” It covers 42 port areas and annual directed port-area pairs from 2020 to 2024. The files include port-area reference information, non-target variables for port-area pairs, sample-selection records, throughput-coverage summaries, and variable definitions. The observed inter-port-area cargo-flow values have been excluded because of commercial licensing restrictions. Data sources and variable construction methods are documented in the accompanying files. Public redistribution of source-derived fields remains subject to the applicable data-use terms.
