Dynamics of Bacterial Microbial Assemblages in Aedes albopictus and Larval Habitats and Its Impacts on Mosquito Development

Here we examined microbiota assemblage and the effects of microbiota in the aquatic environment on larval development of Aedes albopictus mosquito, an important dengue virus vector.Pyrosequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA was used to determine the diversity of bacterial communities in larval habitats and resulting mosquitoes under both laboratory and field conditions.
