BioChem: Seston and phytoplankton data from Hudson Bay, 1975

Between August 7 and September 23, 1975, data on marine seston and phytoplankton were obtained from one litre water samples collected by a pump collecting water samples from Hudson Bay, Canada.

Survey results consist of density (number of individuals per litre).
The original survey report also contains information on methods and results of salinity, chlorophyll a concentration, ATP concentration, POC and PON measurements. The OBIS view of this dataset includes only the species abundance information.

This research was collected with the Canadian Hydrographic Services and involved continuous sampling along pre-determined transects through Hudson Bay. This presented a unique opportunity to collect samples on a spatial and temporal frequency never before possible during a single sampling season from the entire area of Hudson Bay.

本研究由加拿大水文局（Canadian Hydrographic Services）主导开展，沿预设断面在哈得逊湾海域实施连续采样作业。这为在单个采样季内针对哈得逊湾全域开展此前从未实现的高时空频次采样提供了独特机遇。
