资源简介:
Dietary intake can alter the gut microbiota composition and subsequently impact the human's health status. This study investigated the curative effect of dietary intervention on alcoholic liver fibrosis and the corresponding changes in the gut microbiome. A total of 48 patients with alcoholic liver fibrosis were recruited, with 30 healthy volunteers served as the control. Patients received a dietary intervention, such as quit drinking, less red meat, and more fiber, for three months. 42 patients completed the course of treatment in the study. The dietary pattern was derived from the food frequency questionnaires through follow-up phone calls. The curative effect of the dietary intervention was evaluated by non-invasive examination, Fibroscan, and laboratory testing. And the gut microbiome alteration was analyzed by 16S rRNA sequencing. Our data showed that dietary intervention relieves the progression of alcoholic liver fibrosis and tends to restore the disrupted gut microflora to an equilibrium status.
