## Description of the data and file structure

Genetic data of the 8733 non-invasive samples collected in France between 2006-2022. For each sample, the year of sampling and the species identified from the mitochondrial control region are indicated. For samples identified as *Canis lupus*, the mitochondrial control region mitotype *sensus* Pilot et al. (2010), the Quality Index (QI), the genetic sex and the genotypes at 22 microsatellite loci are indicated.
