RNA-seq data of roots of pea plants inoculated with a PGPB (Pseudomonas spp. strain PK6) under different water regimes

In this study, we investigated the growth and metabolism of pea plants inoculated with a potentially beneficial Pseudomonas strain (PK6) and subjected to two different water regimes. By combining phenotypic, metabolic and root RNA-seq analyses, we found that PK6 improved pea growth specifically under drought stress, where plants developed more biomass, larger leaves and longer roots. Our research studies the mechanisms involved in the interaction between PGPB and legumes and their impact on plant growth under drought stress.
