LncRNA profile of Apis mellifera

this study used RNA-seq to detect the profile of lncRNA and mRNA of heads of nurses and foragers from both common and single-cohort colonies. Our goals were to find the significantly differentially expressed transcripts (mRNA and lncRNA), the relationship between the selected lncRNA with its neighbor mRNA, and to identify the significantly enrichment biological processes and pathways by comparing transcriptomic profiles of endometrial in nursing-bees and foraging-bees. And the credit transcripts information from honey bee transcriptomes will be further used for gene expression studies in honey bee brain, which may help a better understanding of molecular mechanism of lncRNAs in the behavioral transition of honey bees.
