Dy2Au2Sn crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_2/mnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six Au and two equivalent Sn atoms. There are a spread of Dy–Au bond distances ranging from 3.03–3.06 Å. Both Dy–Sn bond lengths are 3.12 Å. There are two inequivalent Au sites. In the first Au site, Au is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy atoms. In the second Au site, Au is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy atoms. Sn is bonded in a rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Dy atoms.
Dy₂Au₂Sn晶体结晶于四方晶系P4₂/mnm空间群。其晶体结构为三维构型。镝(Dy)原子采取八配位几何构型,与6个金(Au)原子及2个等价的锡(Sn)原子成键。Dy-Au键的键长分布于3.03~3.06 Å之间。两条Dy-Sn键的键长均为3.12 Å。体系中存在两个不等价的金(Au)位点:在第一个金位点中,金原子采取六配位几何构型,与6个等价的镝原子成键;在第二个金位点中,金原子同样采取六配位几何构型,与6个等价的镝原子成键。锡(Sn)原子以矩形跷跷板型配位几何与4个等价的镝原子成键。
