Parkes observations for project P510 semester 2006APRS

We request 9 regularly-spaced epochs to carry out high-precision\ntiming and polarimetry of PSR~J1906+0746, a new relativistic binary\npulsar discovered in the PALFA survey.\nIt is currently unclear whether the companion star to this young\n144-ms pulsar is a white dwarf or another neutron star. The proposed\nobservations would measure at least two further post-Keplerian\nparameters and determine the mass and inclination of the system.\nIn addition, they would allow us to measure the significant\nprofile variations expected due to relativistic spin-orbit coupling.\nGiven the exciting possibility of a second neutron star in this\nsystem, we shall also use these observations carry out searches for\npulsations from the companion.

我们申请开展9个间隔均匀的观测历元，以对PALFA巡天中发现的新型相对论双星脉冲星PSR~J1906+0746进行高精度计时与偏振测量。
